The New Yorker's Controversial Magazine Cover

What do you guys think? Who should be offended more? The Muslim community as a whole? or Barak Obama, the Democratic nominee for Presidency?
Be it a satirical criticism of Obama, or political prpaganda.. I personally find this illustration very offensive to Muslims. It was a cheap and tactless approach from Barry Blitt, whose many illustrations I enjoy, to convey his ideas and feelings on Obama's candidancy.
What do you think?
P.S. note the painting hanging on the wall behind the caricature of Obama, and the American flag burning in the fireplace.

mmmm....
i was thinking about this...i know that obama supposedly a muslim, but then converted to christianity. so given that, i dont understand what exactly this barry dudeperson is trying to convey with the caricature
i dont think it was just a mere satirical criticism of obama...unless it was a 'pun intended' kind of situation if you see where i going
and yes, as a muslim, i am offended by it, just like i am offended by every other portrayal of every single muslim as a terrorist. i find it strange that some people call on respecting the rights of minorities, and suddenly decided to generalize such a fact onto one billion muslims worldwide.
its sad.
what i dont understand though is why they portrayed his wife as a non-m7ajeba terrorist....mo 7aram? :P

It's a political caricature...
You can interpret it the way you like. The artist is obviously baffled how a supposedly muslim man can lead America on an anti-terrorist agenda.
I guess we'll have to wait and see if Obama can prove him wrong.
